I wanted to draw a detailed monster in ink only as a test. Some times it’s good to test yourself to see if you don’t need to sketch first. Any mistakes made just got turned into another part of the monster. This sketch was titled “The Offering” because the monster if offering the monk a heart in return for some piece in his life.
I was sick for like two weeks straight and I painted this piece in memory of that amazing time I had. It is an acrylic painting in my sketchbook.
I had a Billy Madison blue duck moment while sketching one night and wanted to see a sea turtle wearing a hoodie because I have never seen it before. That was that.
I haven’t drawn a human face in a while. I usually get wrapped up in how I can make a weird creature that no one has ever seen before, so it’s fun to go back every once in a while and draw actual people, so that’s what this sketch was all about. I will search online for a random face and usually will sketch the first thing that comes up. It’s a fun challenge.
I painted this ladies face trying to use triadic colors only as a test on color theory. I liked the outcome. It was done in acrylics in my sketchbook.
This sketch was inspired one day during lunch while I was eating a chicken sandwich. It’s a rough job but that chicken sandwich didn’t come from a tree.
